This is a perfect first litter tray for kittens. We have this in the room that the kittens are in the most. It does not look like a traditional litter tray and being dark grey fits in with the rest of our furniture.

We first use this without the cover. Mum and Dad use the tray too so the kittens see how to get in and they see and hear how to dig. As it gets used the scent reinforces where they must go.

Then once they are using it easily we put on the top but without the flap. This trains them to enter by the front.

Then we put on the flap. By this time the parents are showing them how to push it.
