WHAT MAKES PUMPKIN SO SPECIAL:

First born, and the smallest but she is feisty. She loves to get stuck into wrestling, usually with Hunter. She might squeak when being pinned down but once she is on her feet she jumps right back in. She never lets the boys win.

Like all our girls she has a sweet face – a perfect mix of both parents.

And like all good princesses Pumpkin demands attention. When she walks into a room she meows to let everyone know she is there. 

She is super clean, always uses the litter tray and has perfect litter etiquette.

She loves a lap cuddle and will stay asleep there for ages.

PUMPKIN – NOW PALOMA – IS ENJOYING LIFE IN HER NEW HOME

Her owners continue her story:

3 months old – arrival day:

P was a little dream on the journey home – napped most of the way and only squeaked once.

We thought she might be shy or overwhelmed but as soon as we got her home, she started exploring and climbing all over the flat like a daredevil: the shoe rack and back of the sofa are her favourite obstacle courses!

After a few hours of high energy roaming she had to have some quiet time in the chair underneath the table, but soon after that she came and sat with us on the sofa. She is now being totally affectionate and floppy, letting us rub her tummy, grooming us and falling asleep on both our laps 🥰

As expected, the fancy toys we bought her aren’t providing nearly as much entertainment as the old piece of leaf that she loves!

She seems to have a bit of separation anxiety – soon as she can’t see us she starts to squeak, but when we say ‘hello P!!’ and give her attention she stops straightaway. I’m sure she will get used to being left alone soon.

She is the sweetest, cuddliest, most well bred little girl and we are still pinching ourselves that she is ours! We couldn’t be happier or more smitten.

4 months old – one month on:

We can’t believe it’s only been one month with our P – we can’t imagine life without her! Every day, we wake up so excited to see her little face and give her a cuddle. She is very punctual, waking us up every morning at 8am sharp 😂 (although she knows when it’s bed time and sleeps all through the night quietly) then she will come and jump on the bed with us and lick our noses to say hello. You can tell she is just as excited to see us too. I’ve never known such a content, happy cat – she purrs all day. Never once has she hissed, swiped us! She is such a social little thing too, and absolutely loves being around people – she is very chatty too which we find hilarious.

She has endured several dinner parties and lots of visitors who want lap time, and she has behaved perfectly like a little princess for all of them – never getting overwhelmed or cranky despite the number of people! As one of my friends summarised: ‘I loved how confident she was. she was like you are in MY space and you will adore me 💅🏻’

She follows us everywhere and loves to sit on our laps while we work or watch TV. She has now learnt to climb every surface in the house (god help us) and is fascinated by watching people eat. She is cuddlier than ever,  and has even started to climb on our backs and fall asleep wrapped round our neck like a fluffy scarf. Although she is growing every day, she is still very little and petite, and she gets prettier every day. I can’t put into words how happy she makes us, and how much love and laughter she has brought into our lives.

I don’t know how you to managed to raise such a sweetheart 🥰

6 months old – three months on:

P is 6 months old and absolutely thriving. She is still quite little for her breed but has grown into a rounder face and shape.

Her funny, unique personality has only strengthened as she gets older. She is more relaxed and by far the most affectionate pet I’ve ever met. She has developed a real thing for sitting on shoulders which is hilarious; we call her the parrot. She also loves to curl up sleep on your chest – no concept of personal space! She is as chatty as ever and won’t hesitate to tell you what she wants – beware trying to lock her out of a room. She also has an obsession with water and we’ve had to scoop her out of the bath (!) and toilet a few times.

Meant to also say – despite meeting (and being picked up by) so many people and children, she is so well behaved and patient. I have never seen her hiss or swat or show any form of aggression. A credit to you!

Every day with P is a new adventure and we can’t wait to see how she continues to develop. Thank you Gaynor and Michael, we couldn’t imagine life without her!

1 year old

Our sweet girl P is one and we love her more every day! She is still very kittenish with lots of energy and lots of affection to give.

She is very curious and smart – she has worked out how to open the cupboard and we’ve had to retrieve a few packs of Dreamies from her.

She still loves sleeping on our necks and will come and bat us with her paw when she’s hungry in the morning – rude!

She is as chatty as ever and greets us at the door every day when we come home.

We can’t imagine life before her and we can’t wait for many more years of happiness. Thank you!
